I'm sorry សុធន my language is really limiting me here. But if what I think you are saying is what you said - I don't see how what I said was limiting anything...and I know Cambodia has not just started on translation of "tech" words - but that was not what I was addressing. The main thing that I was saying was that the word "burn" is not only a slang word - but actually tells us what is going on during the process of creating a cd (when the laser "burns" onto the surface of the cd). So there is a reason to keep it literally "burn" in Khmer rather than change it to something that means "copy" or something like that. Here's a def of the English word: "Burn (v. to burn) - Widely used slang that describes the creation of a CD-R disc. During the creation of a CD-R, a laser is used to burn tiny holes inside the disk media." I personally don't think that in order for a computer word to be "Khmer" that it has to automatically have a clear meaning when someone who doesn't use computers reads it. Do you really think that computer terms can all be translated as words that a Cambodian would fully understand without any training or without reading a help file? Like I said before - even in English a person can't understand all computer terms unless they read a definition of them or read about them in a help file that explains what they do.
