Need help installing Khmer Spell checker

First of all, I'd like to congratulate the Khmer OS team for releasing the Khmer spell checker for OpenOffice. You guys rock. :) I've followed the instruction given in the Readme.txt file, but it doesn't seem to work at all. Do I have to configue any setting in OpenOffice itself? I've installed this checker in OpenOffice 2.0.4 on Debian, and openSuse. Is it because I'm using English as the system language? For those who prefer to read Khmer: ជា​បថម​ ខ្ញុំ​អបអរសាទរដល់ក្រុម​ខ្មែរ​អូអេស​ ដែល​បាន​បញ្ចេញ​កម្មវិធី​ថ្មី​មួយ​ទៀត​ហើយ​។ ខ្ញុំ​ចង់​បញ្ចូល​កម្មវិធី​កែរ​ពាក្យ​ខ្មែរ​នេះ (សូមទោស​ផង ខ្ញុំ​មិន​ដឹង​ថា​បកប្រែ​យ៉ាងណា​ល្អ​ទេ​) ដោយ​បាន​ធ្វើ​តាម​ការ​នែនាំ​នៅ​ក្នុង​ Readme.txt ប៉ុន្តែ​ពុំមាន​លទ្ធផល​សំរេច​សោះ។ តើ​យើង​ត្រូវ​ផ្លាស់​ផ្តូរ​ setting ផ្សេង​ៗ​នៅក្នុង OpenOffice ក្រោយ​ពេល​យើង​បញ្ចូលកម្មវិធី​កែរ​ពាក្យ​ខ្មែរ​នេះ​ ឬ​យ៉ាងណា? ខ្ញុំ​បាន​សាកល្បង​បញ្ចូល​ទៅ​ OpenOffice 2.04 ដើរ​លើ​ ដេបៀន​ និង​ អូផិនស៊ូស។ សូម​បញ្ជាក់​ថា​ ខ្ញុំ​ប្រើ​ភាសា​អង់គ្លេស​ ជា​ភាសា​ប្រព័ន្ធ​ តើ​នេះ​អាច​ជា​មូល​ហេតុ​ដែល​វា​មិន​ដើរ​ទេ​? សូម​អរគុណ ទុក​ជាមុន។ PS: I hope to cut down my Khmer spelling mistakes dramatically after successfully installing Khmer Spellchecker for OpenOffice.

Openoffice 3.0

Hi everybody, I just try khmer spell checker with openofice 3.0, it doesn't work. It work well with openoffice 2.1, what happen with new version of openoffice 3.0? Can you help me to use khmer spell checker with openoffice 3.0?

I just realize that, we need

I tried to install the Spell Check in OpenOffice 2.2 running on Ubuntu 7.04 and I just realize that, we need to enable Complex Text Layout (CTL) for OpenOffice and choose Khmer as CTL. It does not depend on the language of user interface or locale. -------

That did the trick

Thanks Soben for the tip. Now Khmer spell checker (KSC) works on OpenOffice.org Writer running on both system: Debian and openSuse. I've written a short tutorial on how to install KSC on Debian at my blog.

OpenOffice.org 2.0.4

Hi evannak, I am running OpenOffice 2.0.4 on both of the system. It's a bit old, isn't it? ^_^ Anyway, after enabling the Complext Text Layout, they are working now. Maybe you should mention about this setting in the Readme file as well. Thanks.
